Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Financial Management:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers in compliance with UAE regulations.
- Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of bank statements and supplier accounts.
- Prepare and file VAT returns as per UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and financial regulations.
- Keep up to date with VAT changes and their impact on business operations.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or industry-specific ERP systems) for bookkeeping and financial reporting.
- Ensure smooth integration of software with operational and financial processes.
- Generate reports and financial insights from the accounting system.
- Generate periodic financial and management reports, including profit & loss, cash flow, and balance sheets.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for business operations.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial performance.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and UAE financial regulations.
- Assist in internal and external audits by preparing necessary financial documentation.
- Maintain records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in LPG, oil & gas, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or ERP systems).
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Experience in handling financial operations in the LPG or energy sector.
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Knowledge of UAE financial regulations and industry-specific compliance.
