Job Title: Piping Superintendent

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred) or Diploma with extensive experience.

Job Summary
The Piping Superintendent will oversee all piping construction, installation, and commissioning activities for a long-term ADNOC project in the UAE. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements while managing subcontractors, schedules, and resources efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
1. Construction & Installation Supervision

• Supervise and coordinate all piping construction activities, including fabrication, erection, testing, and pre-commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and international codes (ASME, ANSI, API).
• Review and approve isometric drawings, P&IDs, and piping layouts.
• Monitor welding, hydro-testing, and non-destructive testing (NDT) activities.

2. Planning & Coordination

• Develop and monitor piping construction schedules to meet project milestones.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure material availability and manage work fronts to avoid delays.

3. Quality & Safety Compliance

• Enforce strict adherence to HSE policies and ADNOC safety regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality workmanship.
• Implement ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans) and ensure proper documentation.

4. Team & Subcontractor Management

• Lead and mentor piping supervisors, foremen, and contractors.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure work meets project standards.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.

5. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports for project management.
• Maintain records of inspections, tests, and as-built documentation.
• Report any non-conformities and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred) or Diploma with extensive experience.
• Experience: Minimum 12+ years in piping construction, in a superintendent role on major oil & gas projects (ADNOC experience is a plus).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in piping systems, welding, stress analysis, and ASME B31.3.
• Certifications: ADNOC approval, OSHA/NEBOSH, CSWIP/IWTC (welding), and COSHH training.
• Software: Familiarity with AutoCAD, PDMS, or SP3D.
