Job Title: QC Electrical Inspector

Job Summary:
The QC Electrical Inspector will ensure that all electrical installations, systems, and equipment comply with ADNOC standards, international codes (e.g., IEC, NEC, IEEE), and UAE regulations. The role involves inspecting electrical works during construction, commissioning, and maintenance phases to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection & Compliance:

• Conduct daily inspections of electrical installations, including HV/LV systems, switchgear, transformers, motors, cables, lighting, earthing, and control systems.
• Verify compliance with ADNOC COP, IEC, NEC, IEEE, and local regulations (UAE Fire & Electrical Codes).
• Review and approve material submittals, method statements, and ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans).

Quality Assurance & Documentation:

• Monitor contractor performance to ensure adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
• Maintain detailed inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and punch lists.
• Witness and document testing & commissioning (e.g., meggering, continuity, relay testing, load tests).

Safety & Risk Management:

• Ensure all electrical works follow HSE standards (ADNOC HSE Code of Practice, OSHA, NFPA 70E).
• Identify and report potential hazards, defects, or deviations from design.
• Participate in HSE audits, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.

Coordination & Reporting:

• Liaise with contractors, engineers, and ADNOC representatives to resolve technical issues.
• Attend progress meetings and provide updates on inspection findings.
• Support the handover process, ensuring as-built documentation is accurate.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Certifications: ADNOC approval (preferred), IECEx/COMPEx, OSHA, or similar HSE certifications.

Experience:

• Minimum 5+ years in electrical inspection, preferably in oil & gas (ADNOC projects or similar).
• Familiarity with ETAP, hazardous area classifications (Zone 1/Zone 2), and EX equipment.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of ATEX, IECEx, and ADNOC electrical standards.
• Proficient in reading single-line diagrams (SLDs), P&IDs, and schematics.
