Job Title QC Supervisor – Electrical

Job Summary
The QC Supervisor – Electrical is responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations, inspections, and testing activities comply with project specifications, ADNOC standards, and international quality requirements. The role involves supervising electrical quality control activities, coordinating with contractors and engineers, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure all electrical works (cabling, panels, switchgear, transformers, grounding, lighting, etc.) comply with project specifications, ADNOC standards, and international codes (IEC, NEC, IEEE, etc.).
• Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements (MS), and Quality Control Procedures for electrical works.
• Conduct inspections and tests (Megger testing, continuity checks, IR testing, HV/LV tests, relay testing, etc.) to verify compliance.
• Monitor and document Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Supervision & Coordination

• Supervise and guide QC inspectors and contractors to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning teams to resolve electrical quality issues.
• Attend quality meetings and provide reports on inspection findings.
• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate inspection records, test reports, and QC documentation.
• Prepare daily/weekly quality reports and submit to the QC Manager.
• Ensure all electrical certifications (materials, equipment, and installations) are verified and filed.

Safety & Standards

• Ensure all electrical works follow HSE regulations and project safety policies.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings related to electrical QC activities.
• Verify PTW (Permit to Work) compliance for electrical testing and energization activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Certifications:
• ADNOC approval (preferred) or experience in ADNOC projects.
• Certified QC Inspector/Supervisor (e.g., ISO 9001, NACE, or equivalent).
• CompEx certification (for hazardous areas) is a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years in electrical QC supervision, preferably in oil & gas (ADNOC, ARAMCO, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with HV/LV systems, substations, switchgear, and instrumentation.
• Familiarity with SAP, EDMS, and project QC software.
