Job Title: HSE Officer

https://youtu.be/XdimKojvZlgJob Purpose:The HSE Officer will ensure compliance with ADNOC, UAE regulatory, and international HSE standards across all project operations. The role involves implementing HSE policies, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a strong safety culture to achieve zero incidents on the project.
Key Responsibilities:1. HSE Compliance & Procedures:- Ensure adherence to ADNOC COPs (Code of Practices), SHEMS (Safety, Health, and Environment Management System), and UAE legal requirements (e.g., OSHAD, DM, ADNOC Group Guidelines).
- Implement project-specific HSE plans, emergency response procedures, and permit-to-work (PTW) systems.
- Conduct regular HSE audits, inspections, and toolbox talks to enforce compliance.
2. Risk Management & Incident Prevention:- Perform risk assessments (JSA, HIRA, HAZID) and recommend mitigation measures.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Monitor high-risk activities (e.g., confined space entry, hot work, working at heights).
3. Training & Awareness:- Deliver HSE inductions, training, and drills (fire safety, emergency evacuation, etc.).
- Promote behavior-based safety (BBS) programs and safety campaigns.
4. Reporting & Documentation:- Maintain HSE records (inspections, incidents, training) and submit reports to ADNOC and contractors.
- Ensure daily/weekly/monthly HSE reports align with ADNOC requirements.
5. Emergency Preparedness:- Coordinate emergency drills and ensure availability of first aid, firefighting equipment, and PPE.
- Act as a liaison with ADNOC HSE teams, contractors, and government agencies.
6. Environmental & Occupational Health:- Monitor waste management, spill control, and pollution prevention per ADNOC standards.
- Conduct noise, air quality, and chemical exposure assessments.
Qualifications & Experience:- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications: NEBOSH IGC/IOSH (mandatory); ADNOC-approved certifications (e.g., ADNOC HSE Training, OSHAD) are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years in HSE roles, preferably in ADNOC or UAE oil/gas projects.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO 45001/14001, OSHA, and ADNOC EHSMS.
Skills & Competencies:- Strong understanding of ADNOC HSE standards and UAE regulations.
- Proficiency in HSE software (e.g., Intelex, Gensuite).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in remote locations and harsh environments.

- Fluency in English
