https://youtu.be/XdimKojvZlgJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced Local Buyer to support procurement activities for a long-term ADNOC project in the UAE. The Local Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services in compliance with ADNOC and company policies. The ideal candidate will have strong vendor management skills, knowledge of local supply chains, and experience in the oil & gas sector.
Key Responsibilities:Procurement & Sourcing:- Identify and evaluate local suppliers/vendors for materials, equipment, and services.
- Issue RFQs (Request for Quotations), analyze bids, and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure timely procurement of goods/services while meeting project deadlines.
Vendor Management:- Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality, delivery, and contractual terms.
- Resolve any supply chain issues or disputes.
Compliance & Documentation:- Ensure all procurement activities comply with ADNOC standards, company policies, and UAE regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications.
- Prepare reports on procurement status, cost savings, and vendor performance.
Cost Control & Negotiation:- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize costs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project timelines.
Coordination & Logistics:- Work closely with project teams, warehouse, and logistics to ensure smooth material flow.
- Track orders and ensure on-time delivery to project sites.
Qualifications & Experience:- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years in procurement/buying, preferably in UAE’s oil & gas sector (ADNOC experience is a plus).
Skills:- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of local market suppliers and procurement best practices.
- Proficiency in SAP/ERP systems and MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Familiarity with ADNOC procurement processes is advantageous.
