Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor QHSE activities on-site to ensure compliance with legal, client, and company standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific QHSE plans, risk assessments, and method statements for road and highway projects.
- Liaise with project and site teams to ensure QHSE procedures are fully integrated into daily operations.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and safety walks; prepare reports and follow up on non-conformances and corrective actions.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement through training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
- Track and report key QHSE KPIs (e.g., incident rates, audit findings, training records).
- Ensure safe work practices are followed during excavation, paving, traffic management, and heavy equipment operations.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare detailed reports, and implement preventive measures.
- Interface with external stakeholders such as consultants, government bodies, and regulatory authorities when required.
- Stay updated with changes in EU/International QHSE legislation and best practices and ensure compliance accordingly.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in QHSE coordination roles within roads and highways construction projects.
- Prior experience working on infrastructure projects in European countries (EU region) is highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of EU QHSE regulations, directives, and compliance standards.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, Lead Auditor in ISO 9001/14001/45001 are a plus.
- Proficient in preparing QHSE documentation and conducting incident investigations.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-risk environment with a hands-on approach.
