https://youtu.be/XdimKojvZlgJob SummaryThe Catering Operations Manager/Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of catering services, ensuring efficient service delivery, maintaining food quality and hygiene standards, managing staff performance, and achieving client satisfaction. The role involves coordinating with clients, kitchen teams, suppliers, and support departments to ensure smooth execution of catering projects, events, and long-term catering contracts.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management- Manage and oversee daily catering operations across all assigned sites and events.
- Ensure timely preparation, delivery, and setup of catering services according to client requirements.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all catering activities.
- Handle operational issues and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
Client Relationship Management- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Attend client meetings and understand service requirements and expectations.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service excellence.
- Prepare operational reports and service performance reviews for management and clients.
Team Management- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate catering staff, including supervisors, chefs, service staff, and support personnel.
- Prepare duty rosters and manpower deployment plans.
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement staff development initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, discipline, and professional standards.
Financial and Budget Management- Monitor operational budgets and control costs to maximize profitability.
- Manage inventory levels and minimize wastage.
- Coordinate procurement of food, equipment, and supplies.
- Review supplier performance and negotiate service agreements where required.
- Prepare monthly operational and financial reports.
Health, Safety & Compliance- Ensure compliance with UAE food safety regulations, HACCP standards, and municipality requirements.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety.
- Conduct regular food safety and health inspections.
- Ensure all staff possess valid health cards and required certifications.
- Implement corrective actions to address non-compliance issues.
Event and Project Coordination- Plan and execute corporate events, VIP functions, conferences, and large-scale catering operations.
- Coordinate with kitchen, logistics, transportation, and client representatives to ensure successful event execution.
- Prepare contingency plans for operational emergencies and last-minute requirements.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in HACCP, Food Safety, or Catering Management are preferred.
- Valid UAE Driving License is an advantage.
Experience Requirements- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in catering operations management, hospitality, or food service industry.
- Minimum 3 years in a managerial role within industrial, corporate, healthcare, or event catering operations.
- Strong experience managing large teams and multiple catering sites.
- Experience in UAE/GCC catering operations is highly preferred.
